Xiao Li was born in China and educated in London. She studied at both the London College of Fashion and the Royal College of Art. Xiao Li has won many awards including the Loro Piana Award for the best knitwear collection in June 2013, the Diesel Award from International Talent Support 2013 in July last year and the Merit Award from Fashion Scout in January of this year.

The Autumn/Winter 2014 collection was full of crisp whites with flashes of pale and electric blue. Sleek and minimal white dresses were modernized with oversized, ruffled netted sleeves and netted hemlines. Thick braiding in white and electric blue lined the hems of dresses and tops as well as around pockets on skirts and dresses.

Skirts came in netted skater skirts, a-line midi’s and leather-look pencil skirts. Oversized smock dresses and square tops were finished with deep v-neck backs and chunky zip detailing. The contemporary collection, albeit neutral in colour scheme, was filled with standout pieces to create a perfect, all-round modern and sleek wardrobe.
